What is Laser Hair Removal?
Using highly concentrated energy, Laser Hair Removal targets hair follicles and emits pulses of light that stop the growth of the hair. The complete Laser Hair Removal process requires a series of treatments, but results can start to be seen after the first treatment. Over the course of one to three weeks, the treated hair falls out. With every treatment, fewer and fewer hairs will grow back, leaving you with smooth skin.

What is Laser Skin Tightening
Laser skin tightening is minimally invasive, non-surgical process that uses an Infrared light source (laser) to penetrate the skin stimulating the collagen that tightens the skin. Facial skin tightening is noticeable immediately after the treatment, and there is no downtime. Additional skin tightening occurs over the next few months, but optimal results usually require 3-6 treatments about a month apart. Laser skin tightening results in a reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and skin laxity. An added benefit of laser skin tightening is that it is safe and effective for restoring a more firm, youthful appearance to the skin and all over the body.
Before Laser Skin Tightening Treatment
Before the skin tightening treatment session, it is important to remove all make-up and other oils, sunscreen and substances that may be on the skin. The laser technician will apply a topical over the counter numbing of lidocaine to the skin of the area being treated and apply protective eyewear. Because of the non-ablative nature of laser skin tightening treatment, no further anesthetics are needed, though patients with low tolerance for discomfort may wish to take an over the counter pain medication prior to treatment.
During Laser Skin Tightening Treatment
The laser technician uses a handpiece to apply brief pulses of laser energy to the skin. A continuous burst of cool air from the laser will ensure the patients comfort. Most laser skin tightening systems require the technician to go over the treatment area three times for optimal results. Sessions normally last 30 minutes depending on the size and location of the area being treated.
Post Treatment
After a laser skin tightening treatment, patients are able to return immediately to work or other activities. Side effects are minimal, and may include a warm sensation to the skin, redness or minor swelling. Side effects resolve themselves naturally within a few hours.

LAser Therapy for Toenail Fungus
Laser therapy is a treatment for toenail fungus infection (onychomycosis), a hard to treat infection that changes the appearance and texture of the nail. Laser Therapy emits pulses of energy that produce heat. When used to treat onychomycosis, the laser is directed so the heat will penetrate through the toenail to the nail bed where the fungus is present. In response to the heat, it inhibits the infected tissue, destroying the fungus. The heat from the laser also has a sterilizing effect, which helps prevent new fungal growth. Treatments usually require 2 treatments 6 weeks apart, depending on the life span of the fungus it can require more treatments.
During Treatment
During the treatment, the laser technician will remove any toenail polish and sterilize the foot. The foot will be placed in an accessible position to direct the laser. The laser will be maneuvered over any affected nails, pulsing the laser. One session typically lasts 30 minutes or less.
Post Treatment
While some patients experience resolution of the infection within a single treatment, additional sessions may be prescribed depending on the lifespan and appearance of the fungus. Patient is asked to sterilize shoes, toenail utensils and clean dirt and debris from underneath the toenail. Treatments are 6 weeks apart.

Photofacials
Photofacials are a skin treatment that uses a light-based technology to boost collagen and lighten the appearance of blemishes. Treatments work best if you have sensitive skin or just want to treat minor blemishes, wrinkles or rosacea. Photofacial is painless, cool, and relaxing and uses a narrow spectrum of light to gently boost collagen, creating plumper, younger looking skin. This procedure can also kill the bacteria that causes acne. A series of treatments can be an add on to fight acne. People will notice immediate results; most will benefit from a series of treatments.
During Treatment
Laser technician will clean the skin and provide the patient with protective eye goggles. Then the laser technician will make passes over the skin until the skin is pink. The process usually takes about 30 minutes.
Post Treatment

Pigmented Laser Treatments
Hyperpigmentation is a common condition that occurs when the body overproduces melanin, resulting in sporadic dark patches appearance on the skin. Laser treatments for hyperpigmentation can reduce or remove the intensity of these dark spots, freckles, sunspots, age spots, flat pigmented birthmarks and age spots by targeting beams of light on the affected area of skin. With non-ablative lasers this process rejuvenates the skin by resurfacing its upper layers, enabling new skin to form while simultaneously stimulating development of collagen. Non-ablative lasers are gentle and allow for a quicker recovery time.
During Pigmented Laser Treatment
The Laser technician will clean the skin and provide the patient with protective goggles. The Candela Laser produces wavelength high energy light over the specific area. The laser is absorbed by cells containing an excessive concentration of pigmentation, thus causes efficient destruction while leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged. The pigmented laser can minimize or eliminate the appearance of pigmentation. After the procedure, the technician will cover the treated area with aloe vera.
Post Treatment
There are minimal side effects and recovery time to pigmented laser treatments.
The spot will darken and over time flake off the skin. Makeup can be worn after treatment.
